>NEWS IN BRIEF > Nezavisna TV plan to start: (Satelit-TV-Video) A new Independent TV (Nezavisna TV) station will be launched in Pristina, Kosovo on 1 September. The founder of the station is the European broadcasting Union (EBU), whose secretary general Jean-Bernard Munch announced that the new TV station would air two hours of programs daily - news, commercial programs and sports. The entire program will be broadcast over the EUTELSAT W2 satellite at 16 degrees East. > New tv from Yugoslavia: (Satelit-TV-Video) A new satellite channel named Televizija Jugoslavija, on AMOS 1, will be launched soon - maybe in Septem- ber. The new channel, that was originally going to be named RTJ (Radio-Te- levizija Jugoslavija) will be aired from a digital transponder 11.421 Ghz h (SR 3440, FEC 3/4). The founder of the new service is the Yugoslav Federal government which will also finance the new channel from the federal budget. Televizija Jugoslavija will be aired around the clock and will include 6 hours of in-house production (news, documentaries and culture programs). The channel will be rebroadcast terrestrialy, over a large transmitter net- work, so the station will be present in 85% of the Yugoslav territory al- ready in the first stage of the project. > KOPERNIKUS DFS 2 FM2, 28,5 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE On Saturday, "AKK DSNG2 Freiburg" provided pictures of German's bundesliga on 11.630 Ghz h (SR 6111, FEC 3/4, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). Encoded transmissions under the lable "BPT B3/B4" have been observed on 11.533 Ghz v and 12.580 Ghz v (SR 6855, FEC 7/8, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). The feed of "Top 10"-series for DSF provided on 12.580 Ghz v (SR 6111, FEC 3/4, V-PID 33, A-PID 34). SAT1 ran (boxing-event) was broadcasting Saturday evening on transponder 12.598 Ghz v (SR 6111, FEC 3/4). PDS election campaign in Eastern Germany: feed for Phoenix is on various transponders - like 11.641 Ghz h and 12.598 Ghz v (SR 6111, FEC 3/4, V-PID 4194/33, A-PID 4195/34). > KOPERNIKUS DFS 1 FM3, 23,5 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE NTV International from Russia seems to has moved from transponder 11.646 Ghz h to 12.727 Ghz v (SR 27500, FEC 3/4). > ASTRA 1 A-D, 19,2 degrees East The Cartoon Network/TNT plan to encode it's signal in next time. From 15 October 1999, the signal on ASTRA 1 C-transponder 11.022 Ghz h will have encoded in "soft" videocrypt. To the same time TNT will rename to Turner Classic Movies. For the reception you need a videocrypt-decoder, but no smartcard. (Thoralf Polet) Transponder 11.739 Ghz v and 11.817 Ghz v have transfered to ASTRA 1 G. > ASTRA 1 E-H, 19,2 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE Cartoon Network Netherlands seems to has stopped on transponder 12.168 Ghz v (SR 27500, FEC 3/4). A promo-programm of Turner Classic Movies Spain (TCM) is now available on this place. TM3 seems to has launched it's digital service on ASTRA 1 G, 12.610 Ghz v (SR 22000, FEC 5/6, V-PID 46, A-PD 47). Several transponders seems to have transfered to ASTRA 1 H: 12.070 Ghz v, 12.090 Ghz h, 12.129 Ghz v, 12.148 Ghz h, 12.207 Ghz v, 12.226 Ghz h, 12.324 Ghz v, 12.402 Ghz v, 12.480 Ghz v. An English-speaking promo-channel by KirchGruppe is on ASTRA 1 F, 12.421 Ghz h (SR 27500, FEC 3/4). > EUTELSAT W2, 16 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE Pictures of Athletics World-Championship 1999 in Sevilla have been received at 12.545 Ghz h (SR 5632, FEC 3/4). A rugby-transmission from Italy provided on 11.003 Ghz h (SR 5632, FEC 3/4, V-PID 1110, A-PID 1211). > Hot Bird 1-5, 13 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE F.U.N. promo-trailer seems to has added to Antenna Hungaria-platform on Hot Bird 2, 12.149 Ghz v (SR 27500, FEC 3/4). For reception you need a special digital decoder which allows to download F.U.N. applications. > EUTELSAT II-F4M, 10 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE Press briefing by "Telepiu ITA 61" has seen on 11.050 Ghz h (SR 5632, FEC 3/4, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). Athletics World-Championship 1999 in Sevilla: Feed for RTP Portugal on 11.103 Ghz h (SR 9999, FEC 3/4, V-PID 4130, A-PID 4131). "Globecast ad-hoc" feeds are occasionally on 11.132 Ghz h (SR 5698, FEC 3/4), MPEG2/encrypted. BBC Sport provided a rugby-game on transponder 11.141 Ghz h (SR 5632, FEC 3/4, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). Final mission of Russian's "space-station" MIR: Pictures from arrival of last team have been noted on 11.164 Ghz h (SR 5632, FEC 3/4, V-PID 33, A- PID 36). > EUTELSAT W3, 7 degrees East Athletics World-Championship 1999 in Sevilla: Feed for RAI Sport Satellite broadcasted on 11.178 Ghz h. - DIGITAL UPDATE ZTE vs KHFC from Hungary's football-league transmitted on 11.086 Ghz h (SR 6856, FEC 7/8, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). > SIRIUS 2, 5 degrees East - DIGITAL UPDATE However the test-transmissions of TV8 Danmark in transponder 12.630 Ghz v (SR 4701, FEC 3/4) seems to have stopped. "Teracom OB 25" reported on 12.590 Ghz v (SR 6111, FEC 3/4, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). An blank carrier with the lable "C-Uplink" is now on 12.597 Ghz v (SR 5632, FEC 3/4, V-PID 289, A-PID 290). SVT Sport (Sweden) provided on 12.615 Ghz v (SR 7028, FEC 3/4, V-PID 4194, A-PID 4197). Pictures of a motorsport-event, may be from Sweden, have been noted on 12.630 Ghz h (SR 6111, FEC 7/8). Occasional news from Danmark on 12.672 Ghz v (SR 7028, FEC 3/4, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). > TELECOM 2 C, 3 degrees East Football for Television par Satellite (TPS) provided on 12.648 Ghz v, French sound 6.60 MHz. Auxerre vs Le Havre was broadcasting Saturday, 20:00 - 22:00 CET, 12.648 Ghz v. - DIGITAL UPDATE Several transmissions in MPEG2 4:2:2 have been received on 12.532 Ghz v and 12.578 Ghz h (SR 13844, FEC 7/8). > TELECOM 2 B/D, 5 degrees West - DIGITAL UPDATE "Intrax Hol 12" broadcasted football from the Netherlands on 11.509 Ghz h (SR 5632, FEC 3/4, V-PID 308, A-PID 256). Two more matches from Switzerland and Italy have been received on channels 11.509 Ghz h and 11.550 Ghz h (SR 6111, FEC 3/4). > EUTELSAT II-F2/TV SAT 2, 12,5 degrees West - DIGITAL UPDATE An unknown carrier was temporary seen at 11.156 Ghz v, no parameters known. > INTELSAT 705, 18 degrees West - DIGITAL UPDATE Business-TV by ThyssenKrupp (identification: Mediagate BTV) you can find on 11.586 Ghz v (SR 4267, FEC 3/4). However the signal is mostly encoded. > NSS K, 21,5 degrees West - DIGITAL UPDATE For some times I saw encoded transmissions by "Solo Sat Comms" on 11.598 Ghz v (SR 6099, FEC 3/4). Occasional feeds of horse ride-events in Germany could be received at 11.684 Ghz v (SR 6111, FEC 3/4, V-PID 33, A-PID 36). Pictues of a swimming-event has provided on transponder 11.615 Ghz v (SR 5698, FEC 3/4, V-PID 1160, A-PID 1120). > INTELSAT 801, 31,5 degrees West - DIGITAL UPDATE Football of British "Premier League" provided on transponder 10.955 Ghz v (SR 5632, FEC 3/4).
